C‐reactive protein to <scp>LymphocytE</scp> count ratio could be a reliable <scp>mArkeR</scp> of thyroiditis; the <scp>CLEAR‐T</scp> study

Inflammation of the thyroid gland is referred to as thyroiditis and associated with inflammation. Recent studies found significant association between novel inflammatory metabolic markers, well C-reactive protein (CRP). CRP/lymphocyte count ratio (CLR) a marker that various conditions has not been studied in thyroiditis, yet. We aimed investigate CRP lymphocyte patients compare those healthy subjects. Patients presented internal medicine outpatient clinics our institution January 2019 August 2021 were enrolled retrospective study. Healthy volunteers control group. CLR groups compared. Median 3.14 (0.14%–38)% 0.4 (0.03–8.86)%, respectively (p < .001). The sensitivity specificity > 0.43% detecting 92% 58%, (AUC: 0.88, p .001, 95% CI: 0.85–0.92).CLR was significantly positively correlated free T4 (FT4) (r = .18, .001) inversely stimulating hormone (TSH) −.52, .003) levels. In conclusion, we suggest high levels may yield additional diagnostic value thyroiditis.
